We were able to make it to Yellowstone before Jeremy headed off for Texas and everyone enjoyed our little camping trip! (We've actually been supper busy doing family activities this past week; Library movie theater day, Yellowstone, library swim pool day, BBQs, and Toy Story 3 at the drive-in. When I was tucking Troy into bed the other night he whispered, "Mom, what are we doing tomorrow?!") Here's our little adventure in pictures:
The boys were very excited to feed the fish!
This is called, "fish watching"
This is called, "Shadow watching". He's an airplane on a stump!
This very unlucky bug had the nerve to attach himself on Troy's shirt. Troy had a little freak-out when he saw this guy on him and had no problem....
stomping him into the ground.
Brock found a dandelion that needed blown away
If you know Jer's family, you'll often hear them talk about their old cabin in Island Park. Even though it's no longer in the family I had Jer show it to me, just the outside, and now when the cabin stories come up I'll know how to imagine the old place!
Yes, that is Jer with a thumbs down in the bottom pic. He misses the old cabin!
Bringing in the firewood at our little camping spot
S'mores!
Notice Troy's marshmallow stick!? He found and put it together all by himself and was a little bummed when we told him he couldn't use it in the fire!
Awww! Nothing better than waking up to a beautiful hand-picked bouquet from my sweet little guy!
Jer got a new tent for father's day this year and I didn't get it in any pics but it's awesome. So is the air mattress. And the new double sleeping bag that the four of us slept in. I guess you can't JUST buy a tent!

Well...I took Troy to use the bathroom and came back to this. I guess there was a little chipmunk harassing Brock (ok so Brock just didn't want it to get close to him) so Jer grabbed it by the tail to assist it on it's way and the tip of it's tail fell off?!?
I was glad that we'd have to hike slower since Troy was with us. If you've hiked with Jer you know it's more like a run. Well, we still had to run to catch up with Jer. Plus, he even had Brock on his back. But Troy loved it anyways.
This is a silly face; he was in the middle of saying something here, but I had to show Brock's mode of transportation!
These binoculars no longer belong to Jer. Just ask Troy ;)
This is what Troy is looking at. They're tiny in this pic but it's a herd of Bison. We were able to see tons of these, plus Elk, deer, and a few bears.
It was another fun trip to Yellowstone, especially with our little guys!
On the way home. Just a little tuckered out.

You guys have been busy! I love Troy's marshmallow stick. I wish we could do more camping, but when it doesn't get dark at night it's kind of impossible to get the kids to sleep.
