We spent our four day weekend in San Antonio visiting Jer! We kept busy and it was almost like Jer was our tour guide since he's already been there for a few months! Troy and Brock loved the plane rides and were really good the entire flight there and back. Jeremy picked us up at the airport and both Troy and Brock had HUGE smiles on their faces when they saw their Dad; he was on the receiving end of endless hugs and kisses! We loved spending our weekend with him and survived a little heat and humidity!
Troy hasn't stopped talking about Shamu and Sea World ever since Jeremy told him about it before he left for Texas. So of course, Jer made sure Sea World was first on our agenda.
The boys started out their fun-filled day by feeding and petting the dolphins.
The aquarium was a hit; Troy and Brock couldn't even take a second to smile for a picture here!
Brock loved the sharks. He is in the middle of saying, "WHOA!" and I got a nice shot of his tonsils ;)
We watched the show, "Azul" which was pretty amazing. They had dolphins, synchronized swimmers and divers for the show.
In this picture, Troy was laughing at the "preshow" of this funny guy:
He had a fun act and hoped around from all of the blue boxes that sprayed water as he splashed the audience. Jeremy went to Sea World with a few other military guys just a few weeks after he arrived (Sea World offers free entrance to military members and their families) so he knew the best spot for us to sit, right in the middle of all the splashing action!
Even with the heat and humidity getting to Troy, he was still really excited to see the whales from the Shamu family. He thought it was pretty funny watching the whales completely soak the lower audience.
The two Shamu boys during the "Shamu Story"
I had to pull Troy away from the Shamu roller coaster. We just finished our ride but he was upset from the start because he wanted to sit at the front. So after he calmed down, we let him ride it again and the lucky boy was able to ride in the very front. He was much happier after getting off from his second ride! We decided Troy doesn't do too well in the heat and humidity; good thing Georgia isn't in our near future anymore!
Feeding those crazy sea lions! They act like they're starved!
Brock had these adorable crocodile tears when Jeremy had to run into the store and we stayed in the car. He really wanted to go inside with his Dad!
Checking out the so-called "map" as we headed for the Wildlife Ranch. It's a four mile stretch that you drive through in your vehicle and feed animals.
These. Boys. Love. Animals.
Since you're only supposed to drive 5 mph, I had the boys sit in the front with me so I could help them feed the animals. There were lots of different animals like this goat, antelope, wildebeests, llama, elk, zebra, and fenced giraffe and rhino. Troy managed to feed a female elk and a zebra from his hand.
The first 30 minutes had lots of animals. We had to wait about 10 minutes before we saw another animal which happened to be an ostrich. Well that cause a problem; Troy and Brock got SO EXCITED that Brock started to scream and Troy decided to jump. In this picture he isn't pointing at an animal, he's showing us what his hard head did to the windshield when he jumped. CRACK! There are 8+ lines branching their way across the windshield. And guess what?!? As soon as we got close to the exciting ostrich, it crapped ALL OVER. Not a pretty sight.
A few zebras had to come over to snack on the yummy pellets Troy had for them in his hand.
Brock was such a hard worker at feeding all of the goats at the petting zoo!
Jer took us to Chuck E. Cheese for our first time. We told Troy he had to eat his dinner before playing and he was fine until the man in the Chuck E. Cheese costume came out! I wish I could have recorded him cause he shoved half his pizza in his mouth, threw his hands in the air motioning that he was all done and begged to meet the mouse (with a mouth overflowing with pizza!) The boys played on the games and playground for a few hours and would have stayed longer if we let them!
To get up to the crawling tunnels are these layered platforms. I took Brock up a few times but crawling around in the tubes with a bunch of other kids wasn't too fun for me so we had Troy take Brock up by giving him a boost. He helped him up these four layers at least 15 times that night. Troy is an AWESOME big brother! Plus he saved my knees from having to crawl all over :)

I was trying to get a picture of these two looking out the window at the pool but as soon as the elevator dinged, they took off. They could hardly wait to go swimming!
Floating with Dad
Summer went by too fast and I should have put Troy in a swimming class. This kid is becoming fearless of water and is very independent now (yikes). He even tried to swim without his arm floaties but sunk like his Mom swims ;)
After swimming we had a little birthday party for Jeremy since we missed his birthday. I like how Troy and Brock couldn't take their eyes off the cake while singing to him!
Out cold.
We had an evening flight on Monday so that day Jer took us to the river walk mall and we went on a boat ride. This pic is deceiving because the boys really enjoyed the boat ride; even though they don't look like it here!
We had a blast spending time and having so much fun with Jer and can't wait to see him again in a few weeks!
