Parade, Carnival, and *fiRewOrks*

Our neighborhood had a fun parade and carnival to celebrate Independence  Day. My (three) boys started their day filling their bellies at the pancake breakfast and they were all happy campers for the parade!
They were impressed; such parade lovers!

What gets you more attention than a cute little red head? A cute red head with with a broken arm. The boys ended up with a PILE of candy, toys, frisbees, and stickers by the end of the parade. (Promise we didn't stick him in the front just for that reason ;)

Troy's line for the day, "Happy 4th of July!" I think he said this to everyone in the parade!

At the carnival the boys got their faces painted. Death grip on Brock's head?!? Glad that didn't scare him from it!
Brock was proud of his flag! They also got  balloons from a creepy clown while waiting in line (I left that picture out just for you, Mom)
Troy chose an airplane
He loved it! (I caught him checking himself out in the mirror over and over admiring his face paint, he let me wash it off that night only because I took this picture for him to look at later on)
The long line to ride the ponies was worth it.

Our one armed man even got in a little ride.

AND a little train ride for the excited dads kids.
A Special Forces parachuter making his jump for the carnival. He was great at maneuvering...
Though he came in just a little short and was worried the weight at the bottom of the flag would take out a few kids on the train ride…my boys are in the second train car!
Jer, Brock, and I took naps (Troy? nope) before heading to the firework show over the sound that night. They shot the fireworks off from a barge out in the water.
Love this pic of Brock. That would be my chocolate shake he's scarfing down while I asked him to smile for a picture!

Took my camera and tripod to attempt some firework pics for my first time. It was a pretty show and we shared lots of "aaahs" and "oooohs"

My favorite firework from the show. Seeing it in real life knocks the socks off this picture.

Wishing you a Happy Independence Day!

Fun! We went to the parade in North Pole and we got to see Santa. Troy is looking pretty sharp in that shirt (Lucas has the same one and I love it)! Our fire works weren't as cool since it doesn't get dark but the kids had fun and they loved the sparklers they got to do. Happy 4th!

Your firework pics turned out awesome! Did you see that article on Yahoo about turning off the auto focus on your camera to get good ones? I was going to try, but like a dork I forgot my camera. Glad you had a safe a great 4th of July!

Just catching up. So sorry about Brockers, he's a brave babe. Beautiful pics, as always. :)
