Being "boy #3" has started off with its perks. It all began with a broken mobile and missing bedskirt (seriously, how can you loose a bed skirt?! I'll blame it on the three moves we've made since it was last used by Brock)
Bought some material, pulled out the sewing machine and put it to work.
New bedskirt - check
recovered bumper pad - check
I picked up a little more material, some wiffle and foam balls from the dollar store and made the bandaids handy - I always burn my fingers when I'm using my hot glue gun.
It's hung with fishing wire/string and the two hoops were once a $.50 (Goodwill find) lamp shade, I disassembled the shade and wrapped the hoops in strips of material.
New mobile - check
Bare walls required more color. Thanks to pinterest, I ran across THIS idea and slightly modified it since I can be a tightwad. Instead of using one backstitching hoop per circle, I hot glued the material over the back and inside instead of using the two hoops to hold the material together; doubling my circles.

New lamp courtesy of the Goodwill...fresh paint and a material covered shade.
The bassinet will be moved out shortly, I've been looking and looking for a new dresser but didn't realize how much closet space this little guy has all to himself so the dresser has been put on hold for now.
Another Pinterest idea: easy circle quilt found HERE
I searched for weeks for a saying I liked and ended up combining two sayings, then I reworded it, then reworded it again. Made a 15x20" "picture" with lots of fun text fonts using photoshop, printed it out from costco and hot gluuuuuuued it onto white core foam board. Cost... 5 bucks total.
The wall over the crib is still bare but after we get this little guy here (less than TWO weeks!) it will have a few big prints of mr. handsome to fill in the bare space.
I've been finishing projects left and right around the house while the boys have been spending quality time in the backyard. I have just a few more projects to finish; mostly to keep myself from sitting around twiddling my thumbs!

I thought I left my comment-think I pushed a wrong button! The room turned out great! They did a good job re-finishing the furniture. He's gonna love it!
