Nisqually Bird Refuge

A reason just as good as any to get out of the house for some crisp, fresh air. In our search to see some wildlife, I think the boys were most excited to be reunited with their friendly squirrel-friend whom we first met two years ago. Jeremy was on a mission to spot out some eagles, and for me it was all about capturing more memories.
I was hoping this guy would have been closer, much closer. Maybe next time he won't be so shy and feel more like showing off for us.
Jeremy spotted a seal in the sound. We were hoping he'd come closer to check us out as they usually have in the past. He must have been having a shy day, too.
We had to laugh at this guy, he stretched out his neck and walked for about five seconds, then acted as if his neck was getting too chilly.
Once we made it home, a little hot chocolate helped thaw our frozen fingers and warm our bellies
