Spring Break in Idaho

I was ready for a break from Washington and told Jer that I wanted to go to Idaho for the boy's spring break. Jer couldn't take time off work and wasn't able to come but he did buy me a new vehicle, stashed it with my favorite candy bar and snacks, loaded up our luggage, and packed our lunch for the drive home. We were in ID over Easter weekend so we got to color Easter eggs with the Lilya cousins, do a VERY fun scavenger hunt put on by G'ma and G'pa Moser, and did another hunt with the Johnson cousins.

It had been two years since the boys and I have seen my brother and we all had a blast partying with some "minute to win it" games one evening. Here's some action shots

trying to bounce the ping pong balls out of the boxes
bouncing ping pong balls into the bucket           toilet paper pull race
transferring cotton balls via nose dipped in vaseline
stacking cans                aftermath of the cotton balls and vaseline
one handed tissue paper removal race
keeping 3 balloons in the air                 removing pennies from the nylons
elephant walk; knocking over the water bottles
balancing nails on string                      stacking bolts
peep eating race

cup transfer              balancing apples
another ping pong removal race
wiggling an oreo from forehead to mouth

The Easter Bunny bombarded the house; I love this look Cael is giving to Brock Easter morning:

The prize at the end of the scavenger hunt was a kite. We were spoiled with really nice weather almost the entire visit and one evening had just enough breeze to give the kite a try
My parents have been growing a mini "farm" and the boys absolutely LOVED helping with chores. Grandpa took the boys to the beef sale, too, and they both came home with big smiles. I think Troy would say he enjoyed playing with the dogs the most and Brock would probably say he had fun feeding the goats. They both looked forward to collecting eggs throughout the day, too. Here's not all, but some of their animals:
Adorable fluffy bunnies!
"reeky" Ricki
pheasants, chickens, and  roosters  rooster
Grandma April Fooled us after we got home from spending the day with G'pa and G'ma Johnson. She said that Maddie had two kids but when we went out to see the new babies, we were told "April FOOLS!"
Maddie and some of the baby bunnies
Hanging with Angus
I tried to catch the peacock's tail fanned out...this is as close as I got.
Troy loved being a perch for the parakeets and the day before we left, Brock warmed up to the idea of "holding" one. Only while wearing his robe, though!
I was a little worried about how Cael would do on the drive and he impressed me; we have another awesome little traveler! We made the 12 hour drive back to Washington in only 14 hours, I think I needed the breaks to get out and stretch more than the kids did! It was nice visiting with family and friends, I know Jeremy can't wait for our next visit, too!
