We have fun celebrating birthdays; half of the excitement stems off of the big brothers and their help with planning the party, presents, and cake. We loved celebrating "the first birthday" with family for both Troy and Brock and missed doing the celebration with Cael. Even though he doesn't know any different we made sure to celebrate with a cake smash and presents.

| Jer was in the middle of a stretch of night shifts and the boys could hardly wait for him to wake up so Cael could smash up his dino cake. We did our "the first birthday dino cake" and I had to improvise since I wasn't going to make another trip to the store. Chocolate candy bar to the rescue! Cael wasn't impressed and went after the balloons instead. He was ready for a nap so we didn't get many smiles, but it was fun for all of us! |
