This may look like yet another swimming lesson post, but the boys have a few new skills/bits of excitement to share from their two swimming sessions from this summer:
 |
| Brock loved being in the next level as a Penguin swimmer. He held his breath the longest under water one day, was able to retrieve the sinker each time he swam down to grab it, impressed many parents with his fearlessness of the water, and loved the end of class jump-in with "cannon BOMBing" as his favorite jump-in style. |
 |
| Troy is still being a trooper in his Otter class. His teacher told us that he has all the skills necessary to advance. However, since the next level does nothing except swim the 25 yard stretch back and forth the entire 30-45 min class, our youngster needs to build his endurance, which will come with age and practice. Troy has always been the youngest in this class and was the only one during both sessions who could swim 11 feet deep and retrieve a sinker toy. He was very proud of this accomplishment. |

| The little head in the left/center is Troy swimming one of his 25 yard stretches. He said is was a looong stretch! |

If you've been following Troy's swimming escapades, you'll know he's really been looking forward to the stingy privilege they have of letting the kids in this class jump off the diving board. Most teachers have told the kids the'll get to on their last day of class but because of :
1. Foreign material in the water and class being cut short
2. A teacher who let time slip away
3. Missing his last lesson for spring break in Idaho
4. And a broken diving board
Troy finally got to jump TWICE and loved every moment. He can't wait to go to open swim and do nothing but jump off the diving board (he'd really like to dive).

| Cael was very patient and soaked in a little learning on the side lines. He'll have some pretty good swim teachers (being his brothers) for when he's older. |
