Rock Chuckin, Cake Pop Eatin, Carnival and Water Lovin, Dress Redoing, Teeth Losin, Tomato Eatin... Love

The boys have been practicing back-yard sports this summer. Jer has been spending lots of time throwing footballs,  playing yard games, and playing catch with the guys. We ended up at Solo Point one day and put our throwing skills to work. Cael is constantly throwing things so this made his day.
The little guys first time holding a crab (I haven't even held one!) Brock was concerned but from what I understand, their pinchers don't hurt at all.
The boys have been asking for cake pops ever since they were introduced to them at a friend's birthday party. We gave them a try for family home evening one night and the boys loved them
We made it to the county fair this year, it was lots of fun! The boys earned a carnival ride through the library's reading program and a friend passed off a few extra tickets so they each rode two rides. Troy loved the ferris wheel. Brock came out of the "Fun House" with three red marks on his forehead after running into the glass maze three times (I was laughing SO hard!!)
We ended up at the splash pad again one day and Cael insisted in playing even though I didn't pack his swimwear.
One of the deal sites I'm signed up with had a lace extender slip on sale one day. I liked the idea but passed up the offer since it could be made for a fraction of the cost. I bought a dress from the GoodWill ($3) and it was a wee bit too short so I made it an extender slip. The dress had too many poofs and ruffles (growing up in the 80's I wore my fair share of that jazz and prefer a more toned down style). My boys are quite honest with their opinions and laughed at me when I walked out in it, I don't blame them. So I de-poofed a little, de-ruffled a little, snipped, sewed, and extended. Bam.
In a 24 hour period Troy went from four pulled out teeth to six. Holy Hole!! I've been the least excited about him losing these front two teeth. Each baby tooth being replaced with a permanent tooth is a reminder that my big boy is loosing all of his baby-ness and these top two are so much more noticeable and a constant slap-in-the-face that he's growing up. Toothless or not, I sure do love this smile. But, his two eye teeth are loose too. If they come out any time soon I don't know how the poor kid will eat!
I did get this one picture between loosing both top teeth. Troy was SO excited to eat his first tomato from the garden the boys planted with Grandpa Moser. We let it ripen for a few days since someone picked it a little too soon, they loved it.
The boys have occasional pow-wows. The big buddies are always so inclusive of Cael and I know he won't have any problem joining the brotherly bond that Troy and Brock share.
I'm still Cael's favorite person, but he LOVES to kiss and hug Brock.
