Troy's new thing this year is riding the bus. He has loved it so far, with the exception of the two girls that for days kept trying to kiss him. He had had enough of it and one day when they were right up in his face, in his words, he "banged their heads together". My jaw dropped when he told me this. I asked if he hurt them and his reply was, "maybe but they don't bug me anymore!" We had a talk about it; I'm sure the end result was clear as mud since, really, he had asked these girls many times to leave him alone, but self defense is important, but we don't hurt people, but no kissing girls…
I don't blame them for trying, I steal kisses from this handsome face all of the time.

| Troy couldn't get to the bus stop fast enough on his first day of riding it. |
He is doing really well in school and enjoys it most days. He has had to pull out some self defense a few other times seeing how the classroom bully stands behind Troy every time they have to alphabetically line up. This little girl constantly picks at his hair and rubs it, and has even thrown gravel on Troy. (She was sent to the office so I haven't had to intervene, yet. But ya know what would be nice? If I knew one of my children was acting this way I would make sure they apologize and make it right.) I gave Troy permission to swat/slap her hand away if she tries to touch him. He said he's had to slap her hand away a few times and says, "you don't mess with me!" From what I gather, she almost always gets caught and has to stand outside of the line. The teacher doesn't believe her when she tells lies about Troy stealing her things, too. Oh. boy. Hang in there Troy! Troy is such a good kid. In one of our vents/talks, Troy mentioned that he might ask this girl if she wants to help him out on occasion, being his lunch buddy, since Troy's daily job is to collect everyone's lunch bags with a friend of his choice. Such a sweet heart.
And this handsome face has enjoyed going to preschool #2! The preschool years are so, so nice. They are practically worry-free and so much fun for the kids. Brock is a great rule follower and has made lots of new friends. He really misses and is almost bored with Troy being gone so much now but he and Cael do pretty good with keeping each other busy.

| Brock said that when he grows up, he wants to be a "Cowboy". I took it as a farmer since he loves helping out with animals. |
