Troy is so many things. He is mostly a joy and only sometimes a turd. He loves to smile and laugh (his whole face lights up when he smiles!), but can share a mean grumpy face if he's, "having the worst day ever". He is passionate about being a friend and having friends, knowing the answer, food, having a plan and schedule, his tiny trinket collections, and taking care of his brothers.
Whenever Troy is at a function that provides a treat of any kind, he almost always attempts to get an extra one for his buddy, Brock. If he isn't able to or if I tell him he doesn't need to get an extra treat, he always shares his own treat. We just got back from surprising him at school. We showed up to the school during recess and Brock, Cael, and I put a cookie on each desk for when the kids returned to class. Troy was SO excited. After taking his first bite, he noticed that Brock was standing by me without a cookie. Without hesitating he offered a bite of his cookie to Brock.
Troy is still very patient with Cael and just "takes it" whenever he get's hit, slapped, or has toys thrown at him. He has yet to retaliate.
The morning before Halloween, Troy was having a pretty good conversation with Cael. Cael still jibber jabbers most all of the time so I would think that this is how Troy would understand Cael's comprehension to be like, too, just jiberry jabbery. I was busy getting breakfast together and wasn't paying close attention until I heard Troy tell Cael about our baby that died (the miscarriage in my first tri) and how that baby would be Cael's older brother or sister, just like Brock is his older brother and Troy is the oldest brother. Troy does talk about the baby but it's quite rare when he does. Later that day I was talking with Troy and asked him why he wanted to tell this to Cael. He simply replied that the thought just came to his mind and he wanted to share it. I thought this was pretty special and not a coincidence seeing how I don't ever remember telling Troy or Brock that the baby was due and would have been born just before Halloween. I think this conversation was for me to hear and I'm so glad that I did.
Happy Happy Birthday Troy Boy!
