Troy's Baptism

Troy had SO MANY friends and family attend his baptism! We were so happy that he could have so much support on his big day. The day went just as planned with only a few small hiccups. We got to the church building with plenty of time to set up the rooms and take a few quick pictures. In the short amount of time it took us to step into the hallway to take the following pictures, the baptismal room was filled with another group for a different baptism! They only spent a short five minutes in there so it wasn't a problem. As their group was heading over for what I'm guessing their program or refreshments, they were joined with a few extras; Cael and Shad. I was taking our plates and cups to the kitchen and saw a lady coming out of the Relief Society room with the boys (we didn't even know they snuck off!) She said they followed the group in, sat down by the missionaries, and folded their arms like they knew what they were doing. The next small hiccup was when the bishop went to open the doors to the baptismal font just as Jer and Troy entered the water from the back doors. The door was locked. Luckily someone in the building had keys to open the doors. Troy's Grandmas gave some wonderful talks for the program and his cousins and brothers sang their musical number so well! We were surprised to learn the previous week that Brock knew the sign language for the songs and was happy to sign throughout the song (pat on the back to his primary teacher, sister Blume, for teaching him and his class!)

Troy is very happy and proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Up until his baptism I had only been thinking about how much Troy will be blessed to be a member of the church and to have the blessings of the Holy Ghost. During his confirmation of receiving the Holy Ghost, I realized how much our family is and will be blessed for the decision he has made.
