We fit in one last zoo visit before our membership expired and before we left Texas. Our family put in many miles at this zoo. Jer and I would take Cael so he could run off some energy and obviously see the animals while the big boys were in school and before Crew was born. His favorite animal there and one he would often talk about was the hippo. Maybe because he enjoyed watching them from inside a cool cave where he could see them sleep or swim in the water. Jer and Cael went many times just to ride the zoo train, which was also a favorite of Cael's.
We were glad to see the new exhibit of giraffes on this last visit.
