Our first of many pinewood derbies.
Troy's first car was originally a dolphin. When he found out siblings could build and race a car too, he passed down his dolphin car to Brock and chose what he hoped would be a faster design. Brock was happy to race so Jer helped him modify his dolphin to look more like a race car.
The racers and a few extra neighbors excited to help sand the cars.
This sweet boy was so excited to be able to race a car! He ended up taking 3rd, racing against the wolf den. He wasn't able to race overall since he was just a participant but his excitement when they called his name for third place was through the roof. Like, he almost jumped through the roof.
Troy took first place out of the wolf den. His excitement was also over the moon. Like, he almost jumped to the moon. When he got to race for first overall, he WON! It was practically the night of his little life.
Brock didn't want to sit by the scouts so he sat on the spectator side while I kept Crew and Cael off the track, while taking pictures. Jer had to work, as usual. Troy couldn't help but go and sit with Brock to share the excitement after they won a few races.
