Before we left Texas, I registered Cael for a preschool in Idaho. We really talked it up so by the time preschool started, Cael was so excited to go. I wasn't sure how he would do with preschool since he wasn't a fan of going to sharing time at church though he was fine with going to his church class.
A lot of his apprehension came from our ward in Texas :( He always did fine going to nursery, and he even transitioned into primary just fine. But, after about a month in primary, his class started having control issues. Since I played the piano in primary, I would sit with these little ones and help out when I could, but towards our last few months there his teacher just totally stopped coming to church so these little three year olds always had a new substitute. And since they rarely had a teacher sitting with them during sharing time, his class was out of control and it wasn't uncommon for him to get hit or spoken to rudely from another little guy. I started having him sit by me at the piano because I was tired of how he was being treated. Ticked off, rather, since it was a huge set back for Cael's confidence. Thankfully though he loved preschool and we only had a few rough spells where he didn't want to go.
He loved bringing home a new book buddy each week. This was his first one so we took a few pictures with it.
