Beach Findings

And no, we're not in Hawaii anymore. Much different beach findings. It is nice though that beaches can always be fun even if they're not my much loved warm, smooth sandy beach.

We headed to one of our favorite "exploration" beaches last week during low tide to see what new creatures we could come across this year. We've been teased with some nice days and are ready for some nice summer weather!

We started off finding this slimy, legless water lizard (I'm weak in the marine biology department). Let's just call it a baby eel ;)

There were lots of baby starfish; last year we only found one baby and lots of big guys. No big ones on our check-off list so far.

Cluster of shells and rocks; all stuck together.
"Sanddollar alley"

Another cluster of shells and barnacles stuck to a rock

And my favorite. You know how ridiculous I COULD have looked trying to get this shot? I can't bend over easily and there was no way I wanted to lay down and get all messy; lucked out and just "guess focused". Bam.

Lucas would LOVE exploring at that beach! We have also been teased with beautiful weather and now it is rainy and windy. We can't wait for the warm weather to stay!

Beautiful pictures Lacy! I love your little guys in hats, too. When is baby brother due? I can't remember....
