The resort had the perfect kiddie pool. It was so nice getting in warm pool water, too.
Brock has learned a lot from watching Troy swim; with a few swimming lessons I'm sure we'll soon have another little fish!
The four of us took a day and went on a whale watching/snorkeling tour to Molokini and Lanai.
The first (of about six) whales we saw was a big guy, but too far away :( The right pic shows he is belly up while breaching.
Gearing up to snorkel!
Troy lasted a few minutes in his snorkeling gear; the depth and large fish below were a little too much for him so one of the crew members helped the boys onto the windowed body boards instead; they loved it!
The dark spots on the left picture is a school of fish following the boys back to the boat. Jer really enjoyed snorkeling and saw lots of sea life in the coral reef.
We all did o.k. on the hot boat ride and were literally surrounded by sea sickies who couldn't keep their lunch down! Blahh!
We stopped by a popular sea turtle area and Jer took a bunch of pictures of a handful of sea turtles; see the big guy in the right pic?
One of the highlights was being right next to a baby calf and momma whale; the calf was only a few days old and was happy as could be jumping around in the water.
The momma was playing around too and would lift the baby up to the surface.
I stitched together three or four pictures; this view would actually need to be curved; you can see how the front and back of the boat are in the shot.
Everyone enjoyed dinner together during our last night in Maui
Pearl Harbor
We enjoyed touring Pearl Harbor while in Oahu. Jer and I are impressed with how much Troy especially learned from the tour. Both boys still talk about it even weeks later.

We took a quick ferry ride to the USS Arizona Memorial.
The submerged battleship. It's crazy that it is still leaking oil, 70 years later.

Next we headed over to tour the USS Missouri. HUGE.
We were able to go inside certain areas of the ship. Not a place for tall or claustrophobic people!
The boys tested out one of the guns along the side of the ship
Jer and I posed, HAHA!! We SO nailed the pose ;)
Our Pearl Harbor Tour ended with driving through the Punch Bowl Cemetery. This is the resting place for the 25,000+ soldiers from WWII, Korean, and Vietnam Wars.
This staircase is surrounded by walls with 26,000+ names of American soldiers who were missing or buried at sea.
View of Oahu and the ocean from the cemetery. Our Hawaiian vacation was SO MUCH FUN! We are so glad we were able to vacation with most of my family (missed you Ty and Laurie). Thank you so much Mom and Dad for all of the planning and getting everything together! We are looking forward to our next vacation adventure with everyone!
