There's a Graduate in the House

Troy had a fantastic time at his preschool and is officially a graduate. Next adventure... KINDERGARTEN!

Our very excited graduate had big expectations for graduation day. He vividly remembers going to his cousin Eliana's graduation two years ago. He asked his teachers if they would get to wear a gown; no gown but they did get to make their own grad cap. SO, instead of choosing his favorite colors for the cap of green or blue, Troy chose black because that is what he remembers Eliana wearing for her graduation!

The graduating class of 2025!

Our very excited and so-not-shy Troy giving his cap a throw!

The awesome teachers

Troy really liked that two of the girls in his class got flowers so how could we not surprise this sweetie with his very own bouquet?!

It is counter balanced by his new Iron Man wrist gun gift from Grandma ;)

Troy started off his school year by friending a shy girl. He was often found being a leader to all of the kids. He was never put in time out at preschool (he even told me that he knew if he was put in time out at school, then I would send him to time out at home, too!) He is writing and learning to read very well. When the boys would get too rowdy Troy would leave the group and play or work with the girls. When the boys would tease him for working with the girls he would stand his ground (with the encouragement of the teachers) and prove that there's nothing wrong with hanging out with the girl group. Speaking of girls, he acquired a couple of crushes. When asked why he was wearing a tie for graduation because "only girls wear ties, you know",  he replied that he wanted to look nice and that his mom made it for him. It always made me proud to hear from his teachers how confident Troy is; I really hope he carries that confidence with him as he goes through each grade of school. His teachers said that they have had many boys come through their preschool and they have never had any as sweet as Troy and Brock.
