Wow. Troy requires TWO HANDS to show his age. My goodness these past six years have flown. He continues to grow into such an amazing and handsome young man. He often receives compliments, the most recent from a man at church this past Sunday, on how good looking, inquisitive, and sharp he is and that just looking at Troy puts a big smile on this gentleman's face. Thinking back six years ago as a new family of three on our Thanksgiving day, I am still so VERY THANKFUL that Troy decided to join our family a little earlier than planned and continues to bring so much joy into our lives. Here's a little about what I want to remember of my newly turned six-year-old:
What is your favorite color? Blue and Black
What is your favorite game? Hide and Seek
If you could wish for anything, what would it be? A pet dragon
What do you like to eat for breakfast? Pancakes
What is your favorite holiday? Christmas
What do you want to be when you grow up? Someone who goes in an airplane or helicopter. A pilot. Or a race car driver. (I asked him if he'd let us ride in his airplane with him and he said we could, but only if, "Dad shaves off that silly mustache!"
Now that you're six are you excited for anything? I'm excited to be a boy scout.
Since Troy had a party on his birthday, we celebrated as a family the following day by going to "Wreck It Ralph". Troy had been planning on eating at Red Robin since his previous birthday (down to knowing what dish, side, and drink he wanted to order) and loved the attention he got when the crew sang to him.
