Camping on a Volcano

Camping was on our summer "to-do" list and we had a successful trip at Mt. Rainier's Big Springs; better known as Big Camp, depending on whom in our family you ask :). We have a few places we'd like to camp at but we're glad we made it out incase the other places don't happen (busy, busy summer!) We had fun, it was what we consider a typical camping trip:
Hiking with personalized hiking sticks
Nonstop exploring
Giving the phrase, "a filthy, dirty mess" a new definition
Smelling like a good blend of mosquito repellent, sunscreen, smoke, and dirt
A few of us getting stung by stinging nettle (the one wearing shorts and the master explorer, Troy)
Jeremy's delicious camp fire dinners
Snail races
Many games of Hide-and-Seek
S'mores, s'mores, and more s'mores
A one-yr-old who slept best out of everyone, seriously
Brotherly and family bonding

The boys gave Jer this shirt for Father's Day. I found it through a link off of Pinterest…my first Pinterest purchase:)

When we got home, we opted to have the boys get cleaned up by swimming in their pools instead of just spraying the little stinkers off with the garden hose :)
Cael's pool is like a mini hot tub. The three barely fit all together; especially when one is trying to snorkel in it!
