Happy Fireworks of July

Independence day was celebrated by the Johnson's very well this year. We battled the crazy traffic and watched the show here in Lacey, from the Safeway parking lot, on the night of the third. On the fourth we went to DuPont's parade and carnival for our third year in a row. It has grown so much since our first year going (so have my boys…sniffle sniffle). After the carnival we spent the rest of the day in Steilacoom where we watched the firework show over the sound. (And just last night lit off a few sparklers that we never got around to doing!)
The dudes sported their festive ties at church the Sunday before Independence Day. Such a handsome trio
Waiting for the show to start on the 3rd. We enjoyed some chocolate milk and donuts; a delicious perk from parking in the Safeway parking lot!
A bit of a tree blocked part of our view. Just a reminder that we live in Washington. Cael stayed awake and shared some cute little "oooo"'s for us that night
Our parade go-ers. Troy and Brock live for things like this and Cael had a blast dancing and waving his flag like a mad man. I want to reach into this picture and push Cael's glasses up for him!
Brock was making sure the stash wasn't disappearing too quickly
Jeremy told the boys he would get them a shaved ice if they danced (in front of a lot of people) while the band played. They earned one; dancing for 2-3 songs!
Loving the milkshakes in Steilacoom. These milkshakes are on my top five list :)
Jer and I had to pry the milkshakes from a few little fingers to have a few sips!

Cael fell asleep just before the show and stayed asleep through some very loud "booms"!
