"'Cuz I'm the Birthday Boy!"

Our Brockers is five and so very proud to now hold up a whole hand of fingers! He partied all weekend long. I asked Brock if he would be happy with a McDonald's party this year, inviting preschool friends, and he was excited. Easiest party I've ever planned. We started off saturday with back to back and overlapping activities; primary program practice, Halloween costume party at a friend's house, then we high tailed it to McDonald's and partied there for hours.
A McD's worker took care of everything; set-up, running back and forth with the food and cake, games, clean-up... The kids loved the scavenger hunt where they got to find hidden prizes in the playground.
I love how happy Brock was and I love how happy Troy was for Brock. We love our parties :)

For his birthday on Sunday, Brock requested starting the day off with homemade waffles (his Dad makes some mighty delicious ones). The boys both did a wonderful job singing and reciting their memorized parts for our Ward's Primary Program at church. They get along with the microphone VERY well. We were proud. I heard Brock let everyone that made eye contact with him at church know that "today is my birthday!" We came home and "the birthday boy" had requested clam chowder and biscuits with brownies. That evening we were invited to a friend's house for pie which wrapped up our weekend of celebration.
Five fingers. Didn't I JUST write about Troy holding up five fingers?!?
I love that Brock still loves to wear footie pajamas. I'm not sure if he'll ever outgrow his love for them; luckily they are made in large sizes!
For months he had been asking for the game, " Hungry, Hungry Hippo." I missed capturing Brock's excitement, but it looked similar to Troy's.

Brock's face lit up with every birthday phone call, text message, Skype call, present, and card in the mail. Thanks for helping make this little guy's day so special! My favorite part of the day was the conversation he had with Grandpa Moser just before going to bed, "So Grandpa, are you going to sing "Happy Birthday" to the Birthday Boy?!" And of course, Grandpa did :)

I love this spunky, witty, smart, funny, handsome, sweet, tender-hearted, awesome dancing five-year-old of mine!
