Party Hardy

"My Day" went a little something like this: three morning appointments between me and the boys, lunch at IHOP since I had been craving it for two months, rip open a few presents as soon as we walked in the house, an afternoon nap, birthday cake and ice-cream for diner which couldn't come fast enough for three birthday-cake-loving dudes (they couldn't wait to eat what they saw as a "castle" that Jer made me, we enjoyed every crumb), and lots of birthday wishes from my awesome family and friends!

Cael's favorite place in the house is in the kitchen. He owns the oven drawer (along with every other drawer in the house) and we're always tripping on pots and pans.

He's also at the age where he's extra helpful with putting toys away, throwing garbage in the trash, taking his dishes to the sink (throwing them up there) and so on. I'm always amazed at how these little humans are able to comprehend things at such a young age. Just tonight Troy thought it was awesome that Cael got out of his beyblade arena after Troy simply asked him to.

Troy was invited to a friend's birthday party at a skating rink. It was Troy's first time skating and he did pretty good but also came home with some pretty big and colorful bruises:( I hadn't planned on skating but I wanted Troy to have fun so I joined in and got some skates. After I did most of the other parents did too to help out their little skaters since they were all in the same boat.

The last time I remember going to a roller skating rink, I think I was a sophomore or junior; that's close to 14-15 years ago!!! It was a little bit of a work out skating with Troy and I was really wishing Jer was there to help him. He only took me down once and even then I only landed on my hands but we were quite the pair!
