I'm Three! (Cael)

Cael was so excited for his birthday this year. I was so worried that this baby was going to be born two/one day before his birthday and totally postpone the big birthday plans. When we asked Cael what he wanted this year, he almost always said, "A BIG Fire Engine!!!" He would then have to talk about having balloons, eating pizza, his construction truck birthday cake, singing the birthday song, and having an ice-cream party with his friends. His day was so much fun!

His new glasses came in just before his birthday. He's so handsome and so grown up looking.

 We're both happy that little brother got to hang out safe and sound--on the inside :)

The entire day was so gorgeous. Then a big thunderstorm rolled in so we had Cael's ice-cream party inside. Hardwood floors have their perks.

I think it's o.k. to laugh about this now; this bowl of brownies that Jer generously passed around had ANTS in it! One of the little boys saw them on the side of the bowl, after almost everyone had eaten a brownie. Ya, that's embarrassing. Luckily everyone at the party was neighbors and understood the ant-in-the-house issue. Have you gathered that I'm not impressed with our house in general? Cael's guests gladly continued to eat their brownies. Sheesh.

And because we had to have a cake, here's the big birthday wish. I sure love this little guy.
