Our Newest Additions, and a little Big Texas

These boys were given some pet supplies a few years ago from G&G Moser. We figured this house was better than any to let these boys have a pet now that they at the age of taking care of little pets by themselves. Brock named his guinea pig Buster. Buster is a pig, as in he's an oinker. He makes us laugh.

Troy took an extra day coming up with a name for his pet. He decided on the name Cruiser.

TEXAS: This state has been getting more rainfall than normal and has been breaking records (The most rainfall EVER recorded was this past April and possibly May). I love how it downpours and we get some crazy thunderstorms. This was the view from my bedroom window the same night we apparently had a tornado warning.

TEXAS: Both of our direct next-door neighbors have moved. As they were sorting and packing, they both told us they found mold in their basements. These houses are dumb. Though they are 2400 sq ft, the 800 sq ft basement isn't livable and considering our lack of storage space, we took advantage of this large open space downstairs. We frequently go downstairs (laundry), and were surprised to find some mold. then more, then much more :( I had to laugh at Jer though. The first night of the mold discovery, his three tents ended up in our living room. The next day when we started cleaning, I laughed that the first load of laundry out of probably 100 was of his one coat and nothing else. But, we cleared out a ton of stuff we didn't need to be storing. Definitely one of our largest downsizes and it feels GREAT! Not what I wanted to be doing that weekend, or ever, but it's done!

TEXAS: Big food. Cael earned a special pizza treat and Jer found us a large pizza we all got to enjoy.

TEXAS: I blame Texas on almost having another May baby. I've been told that Texas heat combined with unintentional dehydration makes many mommas go into early labor. I also blame my doctor for vigorously pushing around on this breech baby. Luckily after a few bags of IV fluids, contractions stopped and baby's heart rate calmed down. Now I just have a damaged thumb nerve from the failed IV attempt.

TEXAS: We apparently grow big butts here in Texas. Kidding! Cael got stuck in the shopping cart and before helping him I had to take a quick picture :)

TEXAS: The heebie-jeebies happen here. We have cockroaches, slugs, and crickets in our basement. Can't complain since other people have snake problems, though. But when this lizard ran across our living room floor, things got real. I don't care about our basement anymore but these creepies need to stay out of the rest of the house.
