GGma T & Gma J

Let's say you're going to fly to San Antonio to visit us. If you send me a text message saying that you're flying in to SAT at 11:45 pm, I could very well mistaken the date with the airport!! There I was thinking I had all of saturday to get my house ready for company. When Jeremy sent me a text message from work friday night at 10 saying that his mom and grandma were going to be here that night, you would not believe the rush mode that would happen! Thankfully Jer was able to slip away from work long enough to pick them up from the airport too since I had all of the kids in bed and Jer took our big vehicle with him to work. It worked out and we started off our visit with a good laugh. And we laughed all throughout our visit with these two awesome ladies.

I love the gifts that Great Grandma Tanner gives us. She crochets and knits beautifully.

We fattened up the turkeys at the quadrangle a few times. The weather was perfect during their visit and it was actually FUN going outside since we didn't melt.

This is Crew attempting to get his thumb in his mouth. Hand by the face, fingers spread and mouth wide open. eventually that little thumb finds that little mouth.

Who can say that you've given your great grandma a fat lip? Cael can! They were playing "hot potato" and the sound box wasn't completely closed inside of the toy. Cael chucked it and poor Grandma got a fat lip. She still loves him though.

The first time we went to the river walk, Jer, Lori, Crew, Cael and I went while the boys were in school and we did a little bit of walking. We parked in a parking garage and went down a flight of stairs. Cael was holding Lori's hand and as they got to the very bottom of the stairs, a cricket jumped up right by Lori's foot. Lori jumped and jumped, I screamed and screamed, and Cael just stood there. I'm still laughing.

Half way through their visit, early in October, I told Cael that I needed to cut his hair that night. Cael replied with, "how about tomorrow, mom" I looked at Lori and told her how every time these words come out of my mouth I start hearing reasons from all my hair headed boys about why this isn't a good time. I told Cael again that we were going to cut his hair. This time he raised his hand up as to stop me, with his fingers and thumb all tightly together, and he replied, "After halloween mom. After halloween."
