Driving through post and mr. eagle eye spotted this turtle crossing a basketball court. We stopped so Cael could get a close up.
We finally got around to taking Troy to his cub scout meetings. (Can I blame our slow start of participation on moving right after he turned 8?!) Now with the new handbooks coming out soon he's had to hold off with passing off his rank though he's chomping at the bit. He's loving the program.
When little fingers get ahold of a phone and take pictures of little toes, it's hard to delete them. So I don't.
We've had some crazy thunder storms at night and woke up to flooding. Because the fields were flooded and soccer games were cancelled, Jer took the boys to the zoo one day while I spent an embarrassing awesome amount of time at the fabric store. Cael's favorite part about the zoo other than the train ride are the hippos. Troy and Brock loved the butterfly exhibit.
I heard Cael wake up from his nap a while ago and as he was coming downstairs he was saying, "caaan't seeee. caaaan't seeeee,"
Brock's teacher has an open classroom policy so parent's can come in at any time and/or eat lunch with the kids. I surprised Brock one day when I showed up to eat lunch with him; bringing him a sandwich from Subway. When I pulled out a cookie for dessert he whispered to me that he would save his cookie for when he got home so he wouldn't make his classmates feel bad for not getting to have a one. I know a hefty number of adults who could use some lessons of politeness from Brock.
Plus, Brock was the "Polite Student of the Month" in March and on his class's website his teacher posted a picture of Brock with the caption: A really good friend who always helps his friends...

Jer took these two on the Father-Son campout with our ward. They had a good time even though the campgrounds were a little odd. I'm sure Jer was just as excited, if not more, than the boys for this weekend party.
One evening we went out for a little stroll and I told the boys to pose however they wanted. Brock took it seriously.
