Spring Break

Spring break was the second week of March.  Jer worked the first four days of the boy's break and when he came home on his last day of work he almost instantly got sick. He went in to the clinic to get checked and learned that he had a pretty bad case of strep and was kept for observation to see if he'd need to be hospitalized since his heart rate was so high. They released him but he was down for what felt like 10 days.

Aside from a few soccer practices and library visits, the boys enjoyed playing outside so much that we didn't really do much else. We meet up with some friends we meet while in Washington and enjoyed catching up while they were in town for a competition; it's so crazy how we can get together and feel like it hasn't even been two years since seeing each other. We also went to a the Witte Museum with neighborhood friends; Troy was tall enough to ride the sky cycle and loved climbing the rock wall. He came so close to reaching the top but lost his footing. He's determined to make it all the way up and I'm sure he will on our next visit.
